Traveling is good? As a couple it can be romantic, cultural, gastronomic, radical or whatever we face. Depending on your budget, the trip can be comfortable or economical.. Then the children arrive. And now?
Traveling as a family is always a challenge. Requires planning, organization and a good dose of patience. Starting with the size of the luggage. How does such a small creature need so much?? Over the years I've learned a few things and here's my first tip! I learned how to organize all my little ones’ needs in plastic boxes, just like I do at home. A box for “kitchen stuff” like baby bottles, plastic plates and spoons, powdered milk, chocolate milk, etc. Another box for hygiene like soap, shampoo, diapers, ointments, toothpaste and toothbrush. My first aid kit with medicines and a thermometer always goes straight out of the cupboard and into my suitcase.. A list is attached to the lid of each box so that on the next trip I won't have to wonder if I forgot something.. How do I always use the same boxes?, I know exactly how much space they take up in the suitcase and if anything leaks, the booger is contained and does not dirty the clothes. As the boys grow, the contents of the boxes will be adapted accordingly.. I usually pack just one bag for the two of us. , but I know that soon everyone will take care of their own. I can't wait!
But before you worry about your luggage, you need to decide where to go, where to stay and what facilities are available for children. Extreme travel and ecological tourism were replaced by the comfort and safety of resorts until we felt comfortable starting to take on little adventures with the kids.. I know people who put their baby in one of those backpacks and head out on a trail.. It's not for me…
I discovered that there are hotels focused on children, with activities suitable for different ages, including a farm with horse or pony rides, where children learn to milk a cow, run after chickens, to fish, ride a pedal boat, try farm food, in addition to having monitors who control activities in the pool, on the lawn, on the courts. If these hotels fit into your budget I recommend a visit.

Now that my children are pre-teens, they view ecological tourism in a positive way.. We recently went to Petar and they loved walking in the woods, visit dark caves, tubing on the river, get filthy with mud and follow a crazy, wet guide down rural roads.
Anyway, It's a great pleasure to see the smile on everyone's face when faced with something new and interesting.. Every trip is a new discovery! I intend to travel with the boys as much as possible because I know that one day they will find it possible to travel with their parents. “a bag”!
I should have written a diary on each trip so I would never forget the details and help moms and dads avoid some “troubles” out there.. But since I didn't think about it at the time, I'll try to dig into my memory some of them to share with you..
See you soon!
