Whistler on the west side of Canada is known to have hosted the Winter Olympics in 2010.

We were there at the end of summer and the city was super busy. The snowless ski slopes were hosting a mountain bike competition. A little radical for me! But the village was full of competitors, tents and related events.

If you are not into sports, it's worth climbing the mountains via the Whistler Village Gondola on Whistler Mountain, arriving at Roundhouse Lodge.
